The Unlimiteds were flying today with two races including this one that featured five Hawker Sea Furies and a lone F8F Bearcat.

Another rare aircraft performs at Reno. This Goodyear F2G Super Corsair was built at the end of World War II to take on the Japanese Kamikaze attacks. This plane won numerous air race contests after the war in the 1940s.

The A-10 West Coast Demonstration Team from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base has returned to Reno this year.

A flying ghost in the Unlimited Class. An FM2 Wildcat, the General Motors version of the Grumman F4F Wildcat, the naval carrier fighter that held the line against the Japanese in the early days of the war in the Pacific.

This air/sea rescue unit from Naval Air Station Fallon opens the show with a rescue demonstration.

This Navy Heritage Flight had an Air Force guest. Leading the flight is a rare FJ4 Fury, the naval version of the North American F-86 Sabre. On his wings are a pair of F8F Bearcats. Bringing up the rear is a P-51 Mustang flown by retired astronaut Gen. Bill Anders.

Another rainy day in Tucson
The rains moved in this afternoon and even produced some hail in parts of Pima County. It's a welcome change to the hot and slightly humid weather we've had the past week.
